Finally...
I am finally back after an amazing two weeks. For the first week I was away at overnight camp as a counsellor, and had one of the best weeks of my life. I don't think I've ever laughed so much, or even cried so much (when it was over) in my life. The staff I work with are all amazing and I couldn't ask for better friends. The second week I was away visiting my grandparents and cousins because my Parents and brother were in England, without me. I don't mind though because I sure got to travel a bunch this year without them. So when I got back the first thing I missed doing was scrapbooking, so I got right into that and made 5 pages really quickly, so over the next 5 days, I'll be posting those. Here is the most recent one:
Also its song day 24: A song you would like to be played at your funeral

What's Up
I'm heading off to camp tomorrow so I'll be gone, again. I've done about 4 scrapbook pages since I last posted so I'll have things to post about when I get back. I also have a jewellery rack that I'm building but I haven't really started assembling it, or even cutting the necessary wood. That project will likely be going up as well. I also will be finishing up my 30 day song list, which took me a heck of a lot longer than 30 days.
I've also finally reached 500 page views (512 actually) and I'm quite amazed that I got as many as I did with absolutely no posting on my blog lately whatsoever. Sorry 'bout that.
However I would rather be posting worthwhile, thought out posts than something i hastily cobbled together in 5 minutes. So we'll have to wait for the time to let that happen.
Hopefully I will get back to you all soon, thank you very much for continuing to view my blog.

Dreadfully Sorry
I have no excuses. I know it has been way too long since I posted anything and I am dreadfully sorry. I just havn't had the will to write anything worthwhile. When I do find myself again, I'll be back, I promise.

Day 23 and BFF Birthday!
Day 23: A song to play at your wedding
I totally know I've already picked this one, but I love it :) Plus I'm going to see him in concert! YAY Yay yay!
Also tomorrow is one of my closer guy friends birthdays. I don't often make birthday cards if I'm not going to someones birthday party because frankly I just don't have time to make cards for everyone, but this guy is special enough that I had to make one for him anyways :) So, since I also don;t have a lot of experience making cards for guys... hopefully its not too girly? Haha
Definitely one of my favourites though. I think I've begun to come into my scrap style, since everything I've made lately I've been strangely happy with. I also seem to be addicted to kraft paper, the colour blue and sewing and white paint drops... nearly all of which appear on this card.

Day 22 and New Baby!
Day 22: a song you play when you're sad
Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri
Plus my cousin is having her first baby soon! So I made her a card that matches with the present we got her :) Since we know it's a boy we obviously got something dinosaur themed. Obviously.

Day 21 and Favorite paper
Day 21: A song you play when you're happy
I have 2, Annie You Save Me by Graffiti6 (which I actually just heard yesterday for the first time) and Down To Earth from the Wall-e soundtrack

Also, A new page about two of my volleyball friends. I used a lot of handmade and old objects in this one, Handmade the second flower from the top, the one right underneath it, and the second flower from the bottom. The white rub on swirls are super old, one of the first scrapbooking embelishments I ever bought, and I haven't used them till now. The Title letters are originally pink thickers but i painted them black so they would go with my layout better. The paper used as the background (the blue and cream flower patterned one) is my favorite paper ever, I LOVE it.

Day 20 And Hilarious Page
Day 20: A song you listen to when you're angry
The Cave by Mumford and Sons
This song, and the band actually are perfect for all occasions and all emotional states. This one reminds me to calm down and "find strength in pain" as they say.
Plus new page based on a pretty funny story.
So as you can see, my previous blog post was all about Shumka camps where I'm working this summer (as I did last summer). So you should also know that Shumka is a professional Ukrainian Dancing company (who is actually going on tour to China in about 2 weeks) and they host dance camps in the summer. I was working at overnight camp at the lake when a little girl hurt her knee badly enough that we had to drive her to the hospital. When we got there, the doctor automatically assumed that myself and James (the other counsellor) were her parents, even though we're both WAY too young to have an 11 year old child. So we had a good laugh and even took a "family" picture.
This is actually the picture our "darling child" drew for me in the hospital. She is quite the artist, and I like to think she got that from me :P

Day 19 and I'm Back!
Day 19: A song from your favorite album
Also, you may have noticed I was missing for a while. That's because I was working out of town at Shumka Summer Dance camps, which is always the time of my life. Shumka is an internationally recognized Professional Ukrainian Dance Company, and even though I don't dance anymore, since I know people, they recommended me for a job :)
So I was working at overnight camp at the lake for a week, having the BEST time ever. If you check their facebook page here you can see pictures, sign up for camp, or even just read about it :) The people are awesome, the kids are fabulous dancers, and the activities are tons of fun. Every year we come home with super funny stories. and amazing memories, plus some silly words that have stuck in our head, like shady. So if you live in Canada, or anywhere close, I would definitely recommend signing up for camp. :)
So I know I've posted a Wakey! wakey! song before, but I honestly love their entire album, so I had to post another.
