I am so so close to being done exams. In 3 hours I'll be writing my last one and will finally be free for 4 months. I'm so utterly and completely exhausted that I can't wait for it to be over. I need a break!
Therefore, to cheer myself and everyone else up, I will leave you all with a few adorable pictures from Pinterest.
I want them all.. especially the corgi puppy and the sloth.
Thank goodness for cute animals keeping me sane and all...

This Took WAY Too Long
The pictures on this page are from more than a year ago. They've been sitting on my desk for an entire year, but I just didn't know what to do with them. Then I went shopping and picked up a bunch of beautiful new paper and had no pictures to scrap! And then these babies resurfaced and I was inspired to actually get them done and put together. I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, and I'm pretty sure I'm now addicted to woodgrain paper and doilies and quilt patterns.
The title is from the main picture of my best friend Rachel, the pizza she's holding actually has marshmallows and chocolate chips on it because it's a DESSERT PIZZA. We found it and we just HAD to buy it, there was no need for discussion.
Just a little bit of layering under the picture with another handmade paper rosette. The pink paper is just randomly folded and creased.
The journalling says: One day Rach and I went on an adventure to Papa Murphy's Pizza to find something for supper. The first thing that caught our eye was dessert! Smores pizza! Obviously we got some....
And I just had to include this picture. I found it while I was avoiding studying and I laughed SO hard. (and I still laugh every time i see it)

Short Stack
This page is about my younger brother and how I always told him that he would never be taller than me. Unfortunately he seems to be growing pretty fast. I'm a little taller than my mom (probably about half and inch) so you can see how close he's getting to being my height. He's only 15, so I have a feeling he's going to end up being the tallest one in our family since he's already started growing. (I'm guessing around 6'5? Actually probably just hoping because that means I can still compete if I wear heels)
This is my first time focusing on layering in a layout. I first painted the background paper with a cornflower blue and then white acrylic paints. Then I watered down some black acrylic paint and used a toothbrush and a straw to spray it. I finally cut up my favorite sheet of printed transparency (the cream doily in the top right corner) which was incredibly hard to do, and another sheet of this blue and red printed paper.
The rosette is handmade from a paint chip and circle and heart die cuts. I used a nail dotting tool and the grooves in my paper cutter to make (slightly uneven) crease lines and then folded into an accordion fold and glued the other elements on top. It's a LOT easier if you crease the lines before folding, just a tip haha.
Some foam Thickers from American Crafts and little punched hearts make up the title. The red thread heart is just holes in a heart shape and randomly sewing with red thread to fill in the shape.

This is True
The other day I went on a walk with my family. The snow is finally starting to melt and it was absolutely beautiful outside. I brought along my camera like I always do but eventually my family gets tired of me taking pictures of them. While I'm lagging behind taking pictures of everything else, I look ahead and my mom and dad are holding hands walking together. How cute!
My parents will be celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary soon, and through everything they've still been each-others best friends. To me, that's the kind of love you want. Yes they disagree about things, yes they're mad once in a while, but is there anything more beautiful than sharing life with your best friend? That's the kind of love I want, and someday hopefully that will happen.
My page was inspired by This One which I found on Pinterest initially.

Imminent Ideas
I love the cool things you can find on Pinterest! Here is a list of a couple of my favorites :)
I would love to have a large picture like this... but i don't know of what. From here
I want to do this, so badly. From here
I really really want to make one of these. Or just buy one, but they're super expensive...
I need to make these, I love them. But now I need to save up a ton of Starbucks bottles... From here
Definitely will be doing this with my best friends. From here
I thought this was HILARIOUS solely because of the expression. Okay... not JUST because of the expression...

Lemon Crinkles
Two weeks ago I made these cookies for my business program kids. I had promised to make them cookies, and Reading week gave me the perfect opportunity to actually make them. Definitely the best "non chocolate chip" cookies I've ever made, so double up on the recipe! (Recipe found on Pinterest from here originally)
My cookies definitely turned out puffier than this, not really sure why...
I doubled up on the lemon zest (and possibly even the juice) and rather than pulling out my mixer I just used a large whisk. The dough is soft enough that you can still mix it easily enough, just make sure to add the flour a little at a time to make mixing easier and less messy :)

First Blog Hop!
Welcome to my part of the Young Scrappers blog hop!
Young scrappers is a group on 2peas made up of scrappers anywhere from their teens to their thirties. Every month we have a new forum, where we talk about our lives, our pages and help each other out any way we can. It's definitely a fun place to be, and I've grown a lot with these ladies in the 6-ish months I've been there.
This month, to celebrate the leap-year, we decided to do a blog hop! My theme is "Pinterest Inspired" since Pinterest has definitely affected the way I scrapbook. We have some giveaways and fun challenges along the way so make sure you visit all the blogs and enter comments to win goodies or participate!
My page was inspired by these three pictures from Pinterest. I wanted a page of what friendship means to myself and my two best friends in their own words and this layout with the three circle pictures was the perfect starting point. I also loved the colour scheme in the second picture with the cake decorations, and I thought it would be cool to incorporate the petal type design around each of the pictures. Continuing with the circle theme, I wanted the grey middle stripe to have an overlapping circle pattern like the third picture.
Here's my planning page. Whenever I scrap using inspiration pictures I like to have them ordered according to the individual page. That way I can focus on just the pictures that I want to use as inspiration rather than having too many irrelevant things to look at.
And here's the final product! As you can see, there were a couple minor changes to the sketch I made, but I stayed pretty true to my plan. I changed the title and the layout of it, and added in a couple of hand stitched hearts, but that's about it!
Products used (all from memory, I don't really keep very good track of what all the products I buy are called):
Teal paper: Poppy Seeds collection by K and Company
Orange paper: Don't remember, but it was a birthday/celebration pack
Lime and Peacock paper: DCWV stack (either brights or basics)
Grey circles paper: Made it myself using Photoshop :)
Thickers: American Crafts Lullaby in Teal
Scallop punch: Martha Stewart Double loops punch around the page
My post challenge is to see how you can use the overlapped circles inspiration. I want to see what you create, so please comment with a link to your creation! The deadline for all challenges and giveaways is Sunday at Midnight so get goin! :)
Your next stop is Monica!

Family Portrait
Another page inspired by this photo I found on Pinterest.
The circles in the above picture are made of saran/plastic wrap but I used tissue paper circles. The ones on the bottom were completely glued on but I didn't like how they turned out so transparent. So the top ones were only glued in the middle so they didn't change colour and the background paper would stop wrinkling.
My dad brought home all these drafting letter stickers and I thought the big red ones went perfectly.
The little red accents with the houses and the deer are actually cut from a Bath and Body Works gift card holder :) they were too cute to pass up. The little scalloped deer circle actually was the start of the entire layout.
That's all from me for now :) but get ready, there's a blog hop coming up on wednesday that I'm a part of!
